Lions Club misbehaviour - a temporary post

This is a temporary post here on what is happening in a Lions club in Kota kinabalu.

It is part of education.

You really hate Lions Club. You attack a club and claim it was a crime ….to me, this is an attack.

It must be related to the April election...Hopefully, you can achieve your goals by then.

Luqman Michel my question is still the same….What’s your motive behind it, but when I saw your posting on the Mandarin version ..I guess I know why and who is behind all this…..you can tell the whole world how righteous you can be, but people with a clear view will know what your motive is…good luck to you.

Could I have misinterpreted his comment as opposition when it might have been a subtle attempt to inform me of something I overlooked? Perhaps someone in the club is trying to provide me with insights I haven’t considered.

The critical term here is "motive." Let's delve into this.

If someone holds the position of First Vice District Governor in a Lions Club, she has likely served in various roles over many years. She would have been a president and undergone extensive training, making her aware that elections are necessary for selecting office bearers and the Board of Directors. Additionally, there are several senior members with significant experience.

So, what could her motive be for appointing the officer bearers for 2024/2025 instead of conducting an election, as has been customary? What drives her to disregard the advice of senior members?

Everything seems to be falling into place.

She is set to become the District Governor on July 1, 2025. If an election were held, there was a chance her daughter might not be elected president. To serve as Cabinet Secretary, one must be a past president, and this role is crucial for supporting the District Governor in various ways. This could be her motive for opting to appoint instead of adhering to LCI's standard election procedures. She seems confident that no member will report this to authorities, including ROS and LCI.

I appreciate Dwayne and his informant, if there is one, for this subtle hint. I might not have considered this otherwise.

Now, the current District Governor and Past District Governors should reflect on whether they want the current president to hold a position in the cabinet for 2025/2026.

Once again, the Vice District Governor is likely assured that none of the Past District Governors will intervene, as the club is operating under its autonomous status. She knows they will adhere to the Constitution without question.

This highlights the convenience for members of the Lions fraternity.

Tomorrow, we will discuss how a capable cabinet officer can assist a District Governor. Does the current president possess the qualities of a good cabinet officer?
