America - Stop the Spin. Start the Screening.

Let’s get one thing straight: America isn’t talentless. It’s talent-blind.

We’ve got kids with Edison-level genius and Cruise-level grit—but we wait until Grade 3 to notice them. By then, the damage is done. The system has already mislabeled, misdiagnosed, and misplaced them.

That’s why I said it yesterday, and I’ll say it again:

Screen every child in Grade 1—within the first 3 months

Test for IQ, creativity, and grit—not just grades

Spot the top 10% and remediate the confused early

This isn’t elitism. It’s equity. It’s how we stop flushing brilliance down the drain.

But today, I saw something else draining: common sense on X.

Even MAGA voices are rage-posting about H1-Bs without doing the homework. Bill Mitchell nailed it:

“Do some research before you post!”

He’s right. The elite AI talent drought is real. High-level AI developers—senior ML (Machine learning) engineers, AI architects, PhD-level researchers—are the golden geese of tech. Their unemployment rate? Basically a rounding error.

No sane company benches billion-dollar U.S. talent to chase a 10% salary trim via H1-B. The headaches—green card backlogs, cultural ramp-up—aren’t worth it. The data backs this: we’re in a chronic elite talent drought, not a flood of idle American geniuses.

So, when Trump says we don’t have “certain” talents, he’s not wrong. He’s not insulting Americans. He’s diagnosing a gap. And the solution isn’t surrender—it’s strategy.

We need to mine America’s own talent early so we’re not forced to import it later.

And let’s be honest: Trump didn’t break the system. He inherited a mess baked in long before his presidency. The real culprits?

Misdiagnosis

Mislabeling

Misplaced blame

Bill Mitchell again:

“If the BEST DEVELOPERS from foreign countries are working on AI here, they AREN’T working on AI there. Why do you think America is #1 in AI? Because we stole everyone else's best coders!”

Exactly. That’s not shameful—it’s strategic. But long-term? We shouldn’t have to steal. We should be exporting talent from Detroit to Des Moines.

So, to those attacking Trump today on H1-Bs: What’s your plan? He’s America’s president for the next 3+ years. Weakening him means Democrat control —and then we’re really screwed.

This isn’t about blind loyalty. It’s about clear strategy.

Fix the pipeline. Screen early. Build genius at home.

And stop the spin.
