Fixing America’s Talent Pipeline

Stop Importing Brains. Start Mining America’s Own.

The U.S. doesn’t have a talent shortage—it has a talent blindness. For decades, we’ve patched our broken education system by importing foreign brainpower. That’s not a solution. It’s a symptom.

The real fix? Early genius detection. We (America) lose Edisons and dyslexic dynamos every year because we wait too long. By Grade 3, it’s often too late. That’s why we must:

Screen every child in Grade 1—within the first 3 months

Test for IQ, creativity, and grit—not just grades

Spot the top 10% and remediate the confused early

This isn’t elitism—it’s equity. It’s how we stop flushing brilliance down the drain.

In 20 years? No more H1-B dependency. We’ll be exporting talent, not importing it.

And let’s be honest—Trump didn’t break the system. He’s been blasted for problems baked in long before his presidency. The real culprits? Misdiagnosis. Mislabeling. Misplaced blame.

Fixing America’s Talent Pipeline

I agree 100% with @EricRSammons: The US education system is broken. It churns out entitled kids instead of earners. And importing foreign talent as a “quick fix”? That’s not strategy—it’s surrender.

I’ve been shouting for over a decade: Reform how we raise and educate at home. But let’s get specific. This isn’t just about “fixing schools.” It’s about hunting for hidden genius early—before the system flushes them away.

Think Edison—flunked out, homeschooled. Think Tom Cruise—dyslexic but driven. Our system doesn’t spot these kids. It punishes them. Labels them. Loses them.

Here’s the fix: Screen every child in Grade 1—within the first 3 months. IQ. Creativity. Grit. Not just grades. Not just behavior. Spot the top 10%. Remediate the confused. Don’t wait till Grade 3.

Why Grade 1? Because by Grade 3, the damage is done. The “wait and see” model is a pipeline to failure. Early screening isn’t elitism—it’s equity.

In 20 years? Zero need for H1-B “brain imports.” We’d be exporting talent. From Detroit to Des Moines, we’d be flooding the world with thinkers, creators, builders—homegrown.

This isn’t anti-immigrant. It’s pro-child. America’s talent pool is deep—but we skim the surface. We need to mine it. Not outsource it.

And while we’re at it—stop blasting Trump for everything. He’s been blamed for problems that predate him by decades. The real issue? A system that misdiagnoses kids, mislabels leaders, and misplaces blame.
