The Myth of Struggle – Part 1

This post is influenced by a reflection I read on LinkedIn:

People aren’t struggling because they don’t care. They are struggling because they don’t know what actually matters today.

I see this everywhere. Brilliant students lose confidence, talented colleagues slow down, and good teams fall apart—not because of lack of skill, but because no one aligned the path for them.

We underestimate how powerful clarity is:

One honest conversation

One clear direction

One shared understanding of what we are really trying to achieve

That alone can change someone’s entire momentum.

On Dyslexiafriend, I’ve written for years that children labeled “lazy” or “slow” are not struggling because they don’t care. They are struggling because the path is cluttered with distractions, misdiagnoses, and misplaced priorities. When clarity is restored, progress follows.

I’m practicing this myself: listening first, guiding clearly, and reducing the noise for those around me. Because clarity is not a luxury—it is the foundation of progress.

💡 What is one moment when clarity changed everything for you?
