On my Facebook post on ‘Naïve Ph.D.’s Part 1,’ I received comments that made me think about exposing educators who either do not respond to my answers on LinkedIn or leave the thread without completing the conversation started.
The following are the comments on Facebook.

Simply because they are not 'educators' but propagators of their ideology. If something does not align with their narrative, they simply ban it. Further, I doubt she even understood your approach to addressing dyslexia. Your approach is revolutionary.

You have challenged their beliefs therefore you are a threat to their existence as "educators".

Luqman Michel You are a threat to their fake fame and income.

Phonemic awareness

Her profile says: 67% of 4th graders in the US read below grade level & it's time to change that! I empower schools, districts, and states to help EVERY child learn to read in a brain-friendly, research-based way.
It's not even close! Research has shown that phonemic awareness is the most important phonological awareness skill students need to learn because it focuses on the individual sounds in words like this: /c/ /a/ /t/ --> CAT.
Learning to HEAR and MOVE AROUND those sounds makes it possible for them to SPELL and READ them later.
If you'd like help teaching phonemic awareness (and all of the other reading skills students need to learn!), bring us to your school right here: https://lnkd.in/dKdfb94Z

Who started this nonsense about kids having to learn phonemic awareness?
It is inherent. It is an innate ability.
Teachers teach the wrong sounds of letters and blame kids who cannot blend cuh aah tuh and say they have a phonemic awareness deficit.
Read my post this morning. LINK
and then let us discuss this.
Note: People have the innate ability to speak whereas animals do not.

Your statement is not supported by research. Phonemic awareness is the #1 predictor of students' future reading success.

Malia Hollowell, did you read the link attached above? That is by a clinician and a researcher.
The reason kids can't read is teaching letters with extraneous sounds and not because of phonological or phonemic awareness.
Phonemic awareness is inherent and need not be taught.
How do the millions of kids worldwide learn to read without phonemic training?
Take any class from any school in the US and tell me why many can read while many can't.
Was some taught phonemic awareness while the others weren't?
Note:
What Maria Hallowell is asking for is akin to asking for research report to show that food should be eaten only through the mouth.
A Phonological awareness deficit was what was touted as the cause of dyslexia for more than 35 years when I started researching dyslexia in 2004. I wrote several articles on social media commencing 2010 until that theory was debunked in 2017. LINK.
