PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT REPORT

I am copy-pasting this from another blog-post of mine where I have the testimonials of parents of kids I have taught. This is because I have referred this on my post on David Chalk and would like my readers to read it here. This was first posted in my blog in 2019.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT REPORT

Date of Assessment: 08.01.2019

Chronological age: 9 years 7 months

Report:

Emmanuel was referred by Dr. Fauziah (Gleneagle Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah) due to his learning difficulties and to ascertain his cognitive functioning and whether he is dyslexic.

He can read one-syllable simple English words and a few two-syllable Malay words. He is also slow in writing and when asked to copy, he made mistakes easily. However, he is good at memorizing. With regard to his academic activities, Emmanuel is easily bored, but he can spend many hours playing computer games.

My emails to the Chinese Embassy and Chinese consulates in malaysia

Here is my email to the Chinese Consulate in Kota Kinabalu.

I wonder why the Chinese are so secretive in not willing to give me an appointment to complain about Chinese citizens infiltrating my country via Face Book and YouTube and corrupting the Chinese education here.

Could this be a ploy by some party to corrupt the Chinese education in Malaysia?

Press Release

Someone from the other side of the globe suggested that I should do a press release so that there will be greater exposure of my book.

This is a free press release that has 10 links to other sites.

Teach Your Child to Read by Luqman Michel

This book quite simply spells out exactly how to address reading problems. And that is it. Right to the point. Parents and teachers will be relieved to find in this book how their students can easily learn how to read.

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Feb 10, 2024 (Issuewire.com)  - Luqman Michel embarked upon teaching children how to read when requested to do so by his neighbour whose son could not read even a single sentence after two years of schooling and kindergarten.

Trivia & my book - Teach Your Child to Read.

Perhaps many of you already know this but I just learned it a few days ago. We don't need an ISBN number for printing and selling our books directly. We need it if we are marketing them through a third party - shops etc.

The above image is the amended book cover for the printing in Kota Kinabalu.

The original ISBN number has been deleted and the name of the original publisher removed.

I have checked and see that postage for a copy to Sarawak and West Malaysia will be Rm8. Including packaging and transport, Rm10 is a reasonable price.

So, for those in West Malaysia and Sarawak and other parts of Sabah, the cost per book will be Rm30 which is still so much cheaper than the price on the Internet of RM65.

Contact me if you are in Malaysia and would like to buy a copy. It is not available in book shops.

Here is the book on the Internet. LINK

Please share this info with your contacts.

My first student for the year 2022

On 21.4.22 a friend sent me a WhatsApp message saying that his friend, a tuition centre principal, was looking for someone to diagnose a kid whom she thought was dyslexic.

Here is her message on FaceBook:

Hey everyone! Anyone knows where we can get a child tested for dyslexia in Kota Kinabalu?

I said I cannot officially diagnose but that I am willing to check out to see if the kid is a shutdown kid.

My second student in 2021

I had stopped teaching in 2019 but started guiding parents to teach their kids who were unable to read.

Here is an email I received from the mother of my latest student whom I weaned off last week.

Good morning Mr Luqman,
