Here are extracts from a video I watched and my comments. LINK
From the video:
Since the collapse of the former Soviet Union in the early 1990s the United States has become the only superpower militarily, technologically, and economically until the rise of China.
China’s 2025 strategy includes government support for research and development investment in promoting the development of indigenous Innovation.
My thoughts:
China should investigate why many intelligent kids struggle with reading in Pinyin. Since Pinyin is taught alongside Chinese characters for the first three years in school, it should be instructed correctly and not through Bopomofo initials. Surely, there are academicians in China who understand that teaching Pinyin with Bopomofo sounds can confuse curious, intelligent children.
Some self-proclaimed experts on Quora, like Lynne Li and Robert Matthews, argue that the only way to teach Pinyin is through Bopomofo initial sounds. Unfortunately, this is what many teachers in Mainland China are currently doing. (More on this in my next post.)
Encourage parental involvement by providing resources and workshops that help parents support their children's Pinyin learning at home. Instruct parents with whatever means not to teach their children Bopomofo which the parents are familiar with.
China can enhance Pinyin instruction, making it more effective and beneficial for students. This will ensure curious kids will not be flushed out of the school system.
If China does not address this issue now, many bright students will continue to be pushed out of the school system.

From the video:
The initiative also emphasises the importance of upgrading the skills and capabilities of the Chinese Workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving high-tech manufacturing sector.
America's education system isn't producing enough talent to meet the growing demand for Tech expertise.
My thoughts:
Here, China has an advantage over the U.S. The issue of ‘dyslexia’ is deeply entrenched in the U.S. and seems impossible to eradicate. Dyslexia is only recently becoming a concern in China due to some misguided forces promoting incorrect Pinyin instruction. I hope China will tackle this problem swiftly.
From the video:
In China, it is another case that each year millions of Chinese college students graduate and enter the workforce or pursue Advanced Studies. China has one of the largest higher education systems in the world.
Most graduates are highly motivated and ambitious seeking opportunities to contribute to China's economic growth and technological advancement.
My thoughts:
This is accurate. However, many curious, intelligent kids are leaving school without good grades and are unable to enter universities.
Note: What if Taiwan with the help of the US is the one behind messing up the education in China? My suspicion is aroused by discussions on Quora.
I trust my knowledge and my uniqueness. No one can intimidate me because of their title, skill, or fame. I do what I believe is right.
