YouTube videos on why kids shut down from learning to read

Kids shutting down and kids being not fluent in reading are not synonymous. The roughly 20% who are classified as dyslexic are the kids I refer to as shut down kids. The dyslexia advocates simply classify them as dyslexic for their own benefit. From my research, I believe the number of kids who are dyslexic is less than one (1) % of the population.

Kids predisposed to shutting down, disengage from learning to read when they are confused. I have published YouTube videos on the few reasons that I have discovered as the main causes of kids disengaging from learning to read.

I hope you will share this post with all your contacts so that many parents of so-called dyslexic kids may benefit from the videos in this post.

The first 5 videos uploaded under Shut Down Kids are testimonials from parents of kids I have taught.
The 5 videos listed below are videos on why kids shut down from learning to read.

Producing the above videos has taken me a lot of time and effort and I hope you will please share it with your contacts so that we may together reduce the number of children who shut down and thereby reduce illiteracy.

Almost a hundred years ago, in the 1920s, public schools started to switch from phonetic reading instruction to the whole language concept, which became fashionable as part of the constructivist movement. Suddenly America found itself having literacy problem.

Thank you for your comment. (in future add a pseudonym).
This swing between phonics and whole word has been going on for decades.
What is the cause of this swing? It is the teachers all over the world not teaching kids the correct pronunciation of phonemes.
Most kids learn to read in English by analysis and not by phonics.
However, many smart kids leave school as illiterate because of confusion which is created by teaching the wrong pronunciation of phonemes.
